Love fitting the young girls. They are so excited when they arrive, knowing that they are going to be part of something big!!

BELOW: Addison needing an adjustment to her Flower girl dress to be worn in an upcoming summer wedding. This lovely little lady needed to have 1 1/4″ taken in on each side, as when she first came to me, there was a very obvious expanse of space.

In order to preserve the dress for possible future wearings by herself or another, I took the top closure apart, and preserved the material and gently inserted into the bodice, while re-applying the hook and eyes. At the zipper, the same needed to be taken in. While removing the zipper most of the way, I realigned it so that it could fit this little princess more appropriately. In doing so, fabric again was opened, then put inside the seams.

In an effort to keep the dress so that it could be brought out in the future, if needed, I left the zipper at the same height on the skirt, while adding an additional hook and eye at the top of the sparkly glitter bodice. As you can see, the alterations presented her with a lovely fit, where now she can enjoy her Uncle’s wedding.

BELOW: Evelynn – Flower Girl – I don’t know who was having more fun, Evelynn or myself.  She was such a sweetheart, and once the bodice and hem work was completed, she looked like a real princess.
