Last weekend I made my husband a zippered pouch to keep his hand tools in at work. And since he loves to use my embroidery machine, he asked if he could embroider his name on the pleather I had on hand before sewing it together. In doing so, I shared that he should practice on a piece to see how it would work out. And then, after the project was complete, I was left with the dilemma of having a small, yet nice piece of scrap sitting there, with his name on it. We would have used it in his pouch, yet since stabilizer was not used, the white bobbin thread shown through. So, in my effort to not be wasteful, I decided to make him an eyeglass case.

A new dog coat for my Father’ laws dog, Sharpie, who was not too thrilled with his new modeling career. 🙂 The jacket looked rather good on him though. It is reversible, and due to hunting in the area, I choose to use fluorescent colors (orange and green) so that he could easily be seen.
Since this was gifted, Sharpie passed, yet Shawnee, my father’n laws new dog, happily wears this vest.
