Although I have cut back in some areas of sewing, the reviews, messages and cards that I receive from clients, makes me feel appreciated for the gift of sewing that God has blessed me with. For me, it is a sign that I am serving where I need to serve. Here are some messages I received over the last two days, in response to some masks that were shipped out, and now being worn with delight.  Of course, no one ever thought that masks would become part of our wardrobe, but it happened. It is temporary, but I truly hope that people continue to showRead More →

Therapy Neck Pillows are now completed. I only made a handful of them, as my plan was to make them for my own personal needs as well as some for the family. Yet, with inquiries, I made a few extra, and depending on the response I will possibly make more. The main purpose was to help support my neck when laying down (not sleeping, although I have dozed off occasionally) in order to put pressure on my neck (cervical), replicating the maneuver my massage therapist and chiropractor do for me. It allows me to do the same treatment daily before and after exercises, due toRead More →

Although we all desire to be done with the mask wearing, the mandates still exists, despite our desire to get back to normal. It is hard, I get it, but I have to admit, I am grateful that I do not have to wear a mask for 8-10 hrs every day such as those who work in healthcare, retail and other industries. Even my husband, who works for our local newspaper is required to wear one all day, yet fortunately he can wear the cloth-made ones.  Above are two masks that are extra that I will be adding to my inventory for sale, each atRead More →

No, not me, but maybe? My daughter is expecting her 2nd son soon, so in a way, it is for me. I mean, being a grammy is very rewarding on many levels. Holly provided me with yardage of four 100% cotton fabrics, 3 cotton flannel, 1 regular cotton. With her first child she had all woodland critters, and to stay with that theme, yet also provide something special for the little guy, she found these fabrics that she loved. The first item up with the over-sized, double-sided, flannel blanket. These were our children’s favorite blankets when they were young (yes, I have been making, giftingRead More →

Over the summer/fall I made some egg gathering aprons as a request from some clients. In making them, I used quality 100% cotton, making them two-layers, as are the pockets. Professionally sewn with attention to detail.  Each apron is $150, accounting for the time to prep/wash materials, cut, sew and apply pieces in place, as well as the cost of materials.   You can find more pictures at the For Sale – Aprons page Please follow and like us:Read More →

Adding to inventory this morning, are a few fun fabric masks. Basic black, The Riddler (this was a custom order specialty fabric) and a fern fabric mask. They are all made from quality, 100% cotton, quilt type fabric.  These new additions are sized for men who have a little bit wider face or need for a little bit longer ear loop elastic. I have added them to the Face Mask page for adults Today I will be finishing up about a dozen more masks, made of fabrics I have used in the past for other style options, and hopefully added to the sales page byRead More →

With all this COVID-19 fun, I generally do not venture out into the stores, plus there is not much that I need. Yet, my husband and I ventured into a store, to look for a few specific items that we needed, when I came across this dress. It was on sale, 100% cotton and not made in China. I took my chances in not trying it on in the store. I was quite pleased with the dress, the fit, even with the long length. Yet, I knew that if I shortened the dress, I would enjoy wearing it more, without worrying about tripping over theRead More →

I have acquired a few requests for variations in the masks that I create. But two have prompted me to work on a few different designs to cover the neck area, which was the result of one who has a device on his neck due to the effects of larynx cancer; and the other a school teacher who would love something that would be easy to pull up, then when there are no students in the classroom take down while looking a little stylish. This is my first design. It is similar to that of a bandana (one layer) with an attached 2-layer mask underneath.Read More →
